The Department of Sociology is a structural unit of the Faculty of Sociology and Law.
The department trains specialists in the specialty 054 Sociology of educational qualification level bachelor.
Form of study: full-time, part-time.
Sociologist has a wide range of technologies for collecting and processing information, is able to organize and conduct sociological, marketing and political science research (from developing a research program to providing specific recommendations for their further practical implementation), computer programs for sociological information processing.

Educational and professional program for bachelors in sociology
According to the Rules of admission to National Technical University of Ukraine «Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute» in 2021, the following coefficients for competitive subjects for admission to the external examination certificates at the educational qualification level “Bachelor” are determined:
External Evaluation Certificates
- Ukrainian language and literature (UL).
- Mathematics (M).
- History of Ukraine (HU) or a foreign language (FL), or geography (G), or physics (P), or chemistry (C), or biology (B).
It is possible to enter according to the external independent evaluation (EIE) certificates 2018, 2019, 2020 and 2021.
Competitive score * = UL * 0.4 + M * 0.3 + HU / FL / G / P / C / B * 0.3
The coefficient for the certificate of complete general secondary education is 0.
The competition score must be at least 125.0 points.

Cost of education
The cost of training under the contract at the expense of individuals or legal entities is:
- full-time education – UAH 29,000 for a year;
- part-time education – UAH 16,800 for a year.
* Tuition fee for the 2020/2021 academic year.
Dormitory
100% settlement. Non-resident students are provided with dormitory, part-time students – for the duration of the examination session.
Our campus with hostels for our students is located in 5–10 minutes’ walk from the academic buildings. This makes the process of study and rest more comfortable, because you do not have to spend a lot of time in traffic jams in Kiev. In addition, no one will get lost in the big city in the first year.
To the educational building №7 – 5-8 minutes:
Our students live in a dormitory №20 with a block system. One unit consists of two 4-bed rooms and a separate bathroom. Each wing has a kitchen and a balcony.
The dormitory also has self-service laundry, storage room, gym, choreography room, music room, tennis table, workrooms and more. Right under the dormitory there is “Fora” and a branch of PrivatBank.
